A fascinating and hypnotic look at a town that once was. While not an ad campaign, it is an interesting use of interactivity on the web, allowing the viewers to click through and explore the world at their own pace. If you read the 'about this project' at the end, the creators explain how the idea was supposed to turn into a book, but felt more natural as an interactive website. It takes some time to fully explore the site, but the story is definitely an interesting tale that ends up being worth the time.
