Squaring up to stiff competition from Nike+, Reebok launched The Promise Keeper app for iPhone and Android handsets. Through Forsman & Bodenfors in Stockholm, the app promotes Reebok's ZigTech running shoes and ties in with social media to help motivate runners. So if users complete a run, or fail to get off the sofa, videos are posted to their YouTube site either praising their efforts or lambasting their lack of dedication. Reebok has enlisted its paid athletes, including Amir Khan and Lewis Hamilton, to add a personal touch and help spread news of the app.
