Blue Motion Roulette

Ridiculous. Simple betting to win a free car and an educational execution to better improve your chances. A simple stat about a cool car gave way to an interesting campaign.

Play this Aug 22, 10 PM EST.

I actually found out about this through a Pandora ad (just like you always say, Patricio, it's important to advertise the actual idea.) You click on "colorful items" in the video and try to win them. Reminds me a lot of the ikea facebook campaign.

Buffer Busters

In order to promote their fast wirless internet speeds, Vodafone released the Buffer Busters iPhone app. The objective is to capture as many "Buffer Demons" as possible in a fight to save the world from slow mobile internet speeds. The prize for this (a flatrate phone bill for life) makes it worth participating in, and the fact that you get more points by downloading your demons in a Vodafone store is a great way to bring in customers.

Sprite Zero Skate 'N Splash

The promotional YouTube video, dreamed up by the Interactive Marketing Team at Coca-Cola Germany for Sprite Zero, minimizes branding because its creators “wanted the focus to be on the content and the interactivity.” They added, “This sort of video is quite different from what we at Coca-Cola usually do, in terms of ‘edginess’ and branding.”

Powerade Challenges

The New Zealand based 'Powerade Challenge' is a 9km running course around the waterfront in Auckland. Runners registered to receive an RFID bracelet in the post. They then run the course, check in at three Powerade vending machines along the way, and their time is uploaded automatically to the Powerade Challenge website. As a nice little PR boost, the Powerade-sponsored NZ All Blacks have also hauled their enormous frames around the course, giving weedy mortals some finishing times to aspire to. An online leaderboard separates the wheat from the chaff.

Milwaukee Guerilla Classrooms

In order to push parents to further their child's education outside of the classroom, interactive displays were set up around the fourth-poorest city in America, Milwaukee, WI.

The most interesting part of this challenge was that they had to target two demographics: the parents and the kids.

Toronto is Trending

From the moment they're printed travel guides are hopelessly out of date, a curse that means that most visitors miss out on the of-the-moment energy that makes them exciting to locals. Attempting to counter that, Toronto Tourism is promoting the city to would-be visitors with an interactive map showing real-time Foursquare check-ins and Twitter updates.

Visitors to the site - created by agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky - encounter a tilt-shifted view of the city's key locations, with speech bubbles featuring the latest tweets featuring the #torontotrending hashtag. Clicking through, a top down map shows check-ins, the more a place has, the bigger the icon, alongside deals for hotels and theatres, for example, from the tourist authority.

Bloggers, fashion enthusiasts, and even foodies have hopped on board in full support of this campaign.
Is Gap back by letting people into the minds of their fashion creatives?

Jello Billboard

http://www.psfk.com/2011/08/jell-os-3d-billboard-smiles-or-frowns-twitters-mood.html

This is a neat part of the Crispin "Pudding Face" campaign for Jello. The face updates in real-time to reflect the happiness of the population based on tweets. It's cool...but since it's just averaged, the face probably won't fluctuate very much.

Ivar's Billboards

Causing quite a sensation in the Seattle Metro area, “Billboards” resurrected the notorious antics of restaurateur, Ivar Hagland, famous for his advertising publicity stunts. Shot on location in the Puget Sound, the commercials took on a life of it’s own when residents and one Seattle Times staff reporter got a glimpse of the rising billboard. Fueled by nostalgia, the story of the found billboards immediately went viral! Tweets, a feature on a local television news station, and a front page spread in the Seattle Times left residents to wonder; could this be real?
